The musculoskeletal abnormalities accompanying neuromuscular disorders include osteoporosis, soft tissue atrophy, growth disturbances, deformities, growth plate injuries, infection, heterotopic ossification, cartilage atrophy, synovitis, clubbing, joint capsule alterations, and neuropathic osteoarthropathy. Typical radiographic changes are encountered. Although the pathogenesis of some of the findings is clear, that of heterotopic ossification and sacroiliac joint and spinal alterations is unknown. Some specific types of neuromuscular disease lead to characteristic clinical and imaging findings. Of particular importance, entrapment neuropathies occur at vulnerable sites along the course of peripheral nerves, as well as in plexuses. Hereditary neuropathies of sensory neurons produce neuropathic osteoarthropathy.

The candidate will learn the mechanics of putting together an electronic poster presentation in lecture type format.

The candidate will be the first author, and I am the second author.
A candidate is not limited to completing one project. He/she can do as many as they like! (There are always topics to teach about)
The candidate, myself, King's College Hospital Department of Radiology and King's College all benefit from this publication.
